A Couplet of Birds is a fanzine dedicated to the relationship of Byleth Eisner and Hubert von Vestra

This zine will focus on the pairing, in both platonic and romantic scenarios. From the academy days to after the war, to even a handful of AUs or even student Byleth, this zine is aiming to present the pair in a variety of fun and wondrous ways.The zine will be in 6"x9" format and in full color. A Couplet of Birds will be available in physical (perfect bound) and digital formats. It includes work from 25 artists, 8 writers, and 5 merch artists.

Can any variant of Hubert or Byleth be used for this zine?

Absolutely! We welcome any and all variants of the two. Three Hopes designs are also allowed!

Does this include trans and non-binary representation?

Yes!

Is Asexual / Aromantic content allowed as well?

Absolutely! We welcome any sexual / romantic orientation.

Is the zine SFW or NSFW?

A Couplet of Birds will be SFW only.

Can we apply for more than one position?

Yes, but you may be accepted for only one position.

Are polyships allowed?

After your feedback and discussion among the mod team, we have decided not to include polyshipping in this zine.

Will follower count affect our chances of getting into this zine?

Not at all! We will not be taking follower counts into consideration, whatsoever. Applicants will be assigned based on the examples and pitches provided to us.

Is this zine for charity, or profit?

This zine will be for charity! We are considering any charity that is dedicated to helping Ukrainians affected by the war.

How will applicants be compensated?

We will provide applicants with a physical copy of the zine regardless of sales. Depending on sales, we will either provide free merchandise or let it be purchased at a discounted rate.

  • Application Review and Email Distribution: July 1st - July 5th , 2022

  • Creation Period: July 6th - October 15th

  • First Check-in: August 1st

  • Second Check-in: September 1st

  • Third Check-in: October 3rd

  • Final Submissions Due: October 31st

  • Pre-order Period: November 25 - December 31st

  • Fufillment: Early-mid 2023
